About Menakao Chocolates

Menakao is a bean-to-bar chocolate which sources all its ingredients from the island of Madagascar! Menakao was founded by Shahin Cassam Chenai as a tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of his forefathers. The Cassam Chenai family, originally from the Gujarat province of western India have been living in Madagascar for five generations. Menakao uses only the best Madagascan cocoa beans, which have been granted the “Fine Cocoa” label by the ICCO (UK). The beans are of the finest quality & offer beautifully aromatic and floral notes, fresh acidity and a tart finish. Moreover, Menakao follows the fair-trade approach and produces the chocolates locally, thus helping the local Madagascan population by generating more income and employment opportunities. India's first authentic African chocolate brand, Menakao has developed a series of specially adapted recipes using only the highest quality beans from Madagascar. Menakao chocolates have won many awards internationally and all chocolates are gluten-free and soy-free.

Menakao chocolates are available online to buy at House of Mandara. They will be shipped directly to you in temperature controlled packaging for free along with the option of COD. Menakao is also available at Foodhall and select gourmet cafes & stores across India.
